Swing Height Restrictor

This swing height restrictor keeps high-sided vehicles out of car parks, commercial premises, and industrial sites, while still allowing cars and vans to pass. It provides a standard clearance of 2.2m, or 2.05m with the optional knock bar fitted.

When taller vehicles need access, such as for deliveries or emergency services, the beam swings open to clear the full width of the entrance. It is supplied with a catch post to hold it shut, and an additional catch post is available to lock it in the open position.

Made from galvanised mild steel, the restrictor has a 90mm square main body and a 60mm square arm, both with a 3mm wall. It is powder coated red or yellow, with other colours available on request. Choose from 3m to 7m lengths, with either bolt-down or concrete-in fixing.

Optional extras include:

• Knock Bar: Hangs below the main beam to give drivers a visible warning of the height limit before they reach it.  
• Additional Catch Post: Locks the barrier open for taller vehicles. 
• Maximum Height Sign (available upon request): Shows the clearance clearly on the beam.

For safety, we recommend installing suitable warning signs on the approach to the barrier.
