Removable bollards require a much shallower foundation than telescopic or automatic models, making them easier to install in most locations. Considerations include:

• High Water Table: These bollards are often the best choice for waterlogged ground, as the post can be easily lifted out rather than being drawn from a deep sleeve.
• Underground Services: If underground pipes or wiring restrict digging depth, the shallow socket is usually the best solution.
• Drainage: A small layer of gravel beneath the socket helps prevent water from collecting and keeps the post from sticking.
• Impact Protection: For areas at risk of deliberate or high-speed vehicle attacks, static bollards offer more permanent security.
