Folding parking bollards are among the easiest to install, as most require little or no excavation. Even so, there are still a number of considerations:

• Surface Strength: The base must be fixed to solid concrete or tarmac. Block paving or gravel may require a concrete pad to ensure stability.
• Positioning: Place the bollard where it can be easily folded and driven over, typically centred toward the front of the bay.
• Folding Direction: Ensure the post has enough space to lie flat without hitting kerbs, walls, or nearby vehicles.
• Locking Type: Decide whether you prefer the convenience of an integral lock or the flexibility of a padlock.
