Telescopic Bollards

Telescopic security posts are ideal for areas that require regular vehicle access but must be secured when not in use. Common applications include:

• Driveways: Protect parked cars and prevent unauthorised vehicle entry to your home.
• Private Parking Spaces: Prevent other drivers from using your designated parking bay.
• Car Parks: Control access to reserved areas, staff parking, or restricted zones during off-hours.
• Loading Bays and Commercial Entrances: Secure delivery areas and business premises overnight.

Since the bollards remain in place and do not need to be removed or stored, they offer greater convenience than removable posts for daily use.

Yes, we offer bollard installation services throughout South East England, including London, Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, and the wider Home Counties. For areas outside this region, we can arrange installation through our network of trusted subcontractors. Please do get in touch even if you're located further afield.

During checkout, you will be asked to enter your postcode to confirm whether installation is available in your area. If you have any questions, please contact our team.

Telescopic bollards require a deeper foundation than most other types, as the entire post must fit below ground when lowered. The exact depth depends on the bollard’s height and the ground conditions. Considerations include:

• High Water Table: In waterlogged soil, the bollard may be difficult to lift, and prolonged exposure can cause metal bollards to rust prematurely.
• Underground Services: Existing pipes, cables, or wiring beneath your driveway may limit how deep you can dig. That’s why we will always conduct a cable avoidance (CAT) scan first.
• Drainage: A gravel soakaway at the base helps water drain away, preventing the sleeve from filling up or freezing in winter.
• Surface Type: Block paving, tarmac, and concrete require cutting and making good around the bollard to ensure a flush finish.

If water levels or digging depth are a concern, removable bollards may be a more practical option, as they require a much shallower foundation.
