Fixed bollards can be simpler to install than retractable types, as there's no mechanism below ground. However, there are still various factors to consider:

• Fixing Method: Concreting in gives maximum strength, while bolt-down bollards suit sites where excavation isn't possible.  
• Surface Condition: Bolt-down posts need a solid, sound base such as concrete to anchor into securely.  
• Underground Services: We will carry out a cable avoidance (CAT) scan should be carried out before any digging to avoid pipes and cables.  
• Bollard Spacing: Posts should be close enough to stop cars squeezing through, while leaving room for pedestrians, pushchairs, and wheelchair users.
